China and the Philippines are increasingly edging towards a closer relationship.


Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte has opted to court China for its business and investment and avoid the rows over maritime sovereignty that dogged his predecessors.

On Tuesday China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced plans for the two countries to explore the South China Sea together and says the situation is stabilising.
