The Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry begins hearing its first witnesses today. (tue)


Australia's major banks face a public grilling over cases where they have engaged in what are deemed inappropriate or unsuitable lending for mortgages, cars and credit cards.

But a consumer-advocate group says the commission is set to miss out on testimony from what it says are hundreds of victims.
