On June 27, 2017, Bui Van Trung and his two sons reside in An Phu Village, Chau Doc District, An Giang Province were arrested by local authorities for no apparent reason.
The incident took place almost a month ago and the Pure Hoa Hao Buddhist Church in Vietnam watched every move before the appropriate response.
Meanwhile, Bui Thi Qui is Trung's daughter said the family sent money and food to the trio who are currently detained in Chau Doc District but have not yet met.
