A legendary voice of Australia's music world -- a voice that soared far beyond the shores of Australia and, some would say, far beyond the earth -- is gone.
One of Australia's most prominent Indigenous musicians, Dr G Yunupingu as he is being called out of respect for cultural reasons and his family's request, has died at age 46.
Dr Yunupingu died in Royal Darwin Hospital last Tuesday after suffering for years from poor health that stemmed from contracting hepatitis B as a child.
