It's not the Treading Gently On Racism Act: Soutphommasane

The departing Race Discrimination Commissioner, Tim Soutphommasane is fiercely opposed to his job's title being changed.

The head of the Australian Human Rights Commission, Rosalind Croucher, would prefer the position to be known as the Commissioner for Community Relations.

But the incumbent, who steps down in August [[Aug 19]] after a five-year term, says a name change should be resisted.
