On March 14, activist Nguyen Thuy Hanh was arrested by the Hanoi police in front of the witness of friends, who arrived at the Ly Emperor Monument in Hanoi to commemorate the 64th anniversary of the soldiers who had sacrificed in 1988 under the Chinese line at Gac Ma Reef, in the Spratlys.

After being held at the police station until darkness and due to low blood pressure, she was sent home and told Phan Bach about what happened.
