Maria Tran, Phillip Kane are both Vietnamese - Australia born marital artists. Their cooperation in the mockumentary The Subtractor has just awarded by the Diversity Art Australia Organization in 2017 and has been broadcasted last June.

Recalling childhood memories when they both soon realized they were different to classmates and often bullied by their small appearance or when they tried to protect another weaker person, Maria decided to learn Kungfu (Taekwondo) to get more confidence and to be able to protect herself and others. Meanwhile, Phillip Kane follow his passion with Karate like his idol Bruce Lee.

Maria had chance to meet and to cooperate with her idol - Jackie Chan - in 2016 when he visited Australia for his movie. He invited her to join in his movie making in Sydney. She also joined him to visit Cabramatta - where his family lived in a long time.
