Syria's government has expressed defiance, after US-led airstrikes targeted three Syrian chemical weapons facilities.
The strikes have angered the Syrian government's ally, Russia, who has promised retribution.
Meanwhile, the Australian government says it strongly supports the strikes, even though it did not provide military support.
