On Tuesday, July 25, Vietnam opens its trial of democracy activist, human rights and laborer Tran Thi Nga, arrested on January 21, 2017 for propaganda against the state, in violation of Article 88 Criminal Law.

Tran Thi Nga, also known as Thuy Nga, is a familiar face in the struggle for democracy and human rights in Vietnam.

On January 21, 2017, on the 24th day of the Lunar New Year, Tran Thi Nga was arrested from his home in Phu Ly, Nam Ha, leaving two children in the days of Tet.

Journalist Vo Van Tao in Vietnam said that she could be severely sentenced, not less than the sentence for Nguyen Ngoc Nhu Quynh, who is 10 years imprisonment.
