The first annual Indian Film Festival of Melbourne features a broad selection of 40 films from contemporary Indian cinema, from Bengali arthouse films to Hindi blockbusters.

Watch this fascinating interview with festival ambassador, superstar Vidya Balan, as she talks about her roles in Kahaani and The Dirty Picture, and discusses her unique perspective on the opportunities for women in contemporary Indian cinema.
