With 17 facts, you'll learn and LOVE SEVENTEEN (even more!) 

1. Despite the group's name, there are only 13 members in the group. BUT, there were times when the group did have as many as 16 members (pre-debut) 

2. The name 17 signifies the medium age of the members – at the time of formation

3. The boys' journey from trainee days were captured on “Seventeen TV” so in a way they were in their 3rd year when they debuted officially 

4. Seventeen TV” began in 2012.

5. Before debut the boys often appeared as backup dancers for After School, NU’EST and Hello Venus.


6. The group consists of 3 teams: Hip hop, vocal and performance

Hip hop team members are S.coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu and Vernon

Vocal team members are Jeonghan, Joshua, Woozi, DK and Seungkwan

Performance team members are Jun, Hoshi, The 8 and Dino

7. Jun and The8 are Chinese while Joshua and Vernon are from the USA

8. Vernon used to be called by his Korean name Chwe Hansol. It’s only after debut he's taken on his English name. 

9. Wonwoo will cry watching "Miracle in Cell No.7" every time!

10. Vernon’s been compared to a young Leonardo DiCaprio. What do you think? 

11. Joshua’s audition file is pretty darn cute. 

12. Despite being fluent in English, Vernon and Joshua admitted that they were nervous being interviewed in English. 

13. Hoshi is a fan of EXO!  Looks like the whole band may be tho >< 

14. Seungkwan is  an island boy from Jeju island!

15. And he can body roll like no other


16. According to the band, Jeonghan has the best personality , and prob best hair XD

17. Today (February 14th, 2017) is their fan group's 1st Anniversary.
