If you’re not a big fan of blood and gore or just don’t feel like enduring night terrors for a week after Halloween, then here's some movies for your Halloween binge-fest.

1. The Craft

One of the movies that shaped my teenage years was The Craft. A film full of brilliant one-liners, magic and killer 90s fashion; this movie is sure to get your cauldron bubbling.

2. Beetlejuice

The ghost with the most! Feel like watching something a little out there? Then Tim Burton’s cult classic will do the trick (or treat)! This movie is brilliant for costume ideas so I’d recommend watching it a whole bunch before Halloween costume-making time.

3. Hocus Pocus

Typically, Hocus Pocus is aimed at younger audiences but when has that ever stopped us adults? I love this movie because it’s got all the great, Halloween features like trick or treating, a big party and of course a talking cat.

4. Ghostbusters

I’m not sure there’s a person on this planet that hasn’t heard of Ghostbusters! This is something everyone can watch and laugh along to. It’s also got an awesome soundtrack!

5. The Nightmare Before Christmas

Here’s a debate for the ages; is this a Halloween movie or a Christmas movie? I say, why not both! Another one of my favourite films growing up; this has just the right amount of scary to keep you on your toes but not enough to scare you out of your seat!
