A G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Jay Park hip-hop trio would've been LIT!!

Despite all the K-pop groups that debut every year, there are many who miss out on the chance to hit the stage, whether it was down to members leaving, creative differences, or changes of heart. While this is simply part of the K-pop process, there have been a number of great groups that were put together, only to sadly never see the light of day.

So without further ado, here are 7 fantastic K-pop groups that sadly never debuted.

7. A JYP Japan Team

JYP Entertainment originally had plans for a Japan Team, which as to consist of Japanese TWICE members Momo, Sana, Mina, and two other trainees Sika and Mone. This unfortunately fell through, and the plan ultimately changed to a little show called "Sixteen"...

6. Five Girls

Five Girls were originally a star-studded 5-member girl group consisting of After School's Uee, Wonder Girls' Yubin, Secret's Hyosung, SPICA's Jiwon, and singer G.NA. But due to financial issues with their company, the group never got to debut.

5. Four Seasons

Back before Super Junior and TVXQ were a thing, SM had tentative plans to make a 4-member boy group called Four Seasons with Yunho, Heechul, Jaejoong, and Kangin, all of whom would represent a season. The group was pretty far along before their debut was ultimately scrapped.

4. A 4-member JYP girl group ft. Hani, Hyolyn, Jieun, and Uji

On an episode of "Happy Together," EXID's Hani revealed that there were plans for a JYP girl group that would've had her, SISTAR's Hyolyn, BESTie's Uji, and SECRET's Jiejun. This had the potential to be the MAMAMOO of their generation, but this group sadly did not come to fruition.

3. A G-Dragon, Taeyang, Jay Park hip-hop trio

Back when Jay Park was still with JYP, there were plans for a collaboration between JYP and YG that would've put G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Jay Park together as a hip hop trio.

While this would've been epic on so many levels, the plan sadly fell through. As a consolation, we did eventually get that G-Dragon and Taeyang hip-hop duo that was originally planned by YG.

2. 6Mix

JYP sure had a lot of ideas for girl groups because the company had plans for yet another girl group called 6Mix, which would've consisted of Nayeon, Jungyeon, Jihyo, Sana, and two other trainees. Sadly, this group never saw the light of day.

Of course, the 6 girls all ended up on a show called "Sixteen" and were selected to be in a little group called TWICE...

1. A 6-member BIGBANG

We may forever remember BIGBANG as a 5-member group, but there was a moment when they nearly had a 6th member - former BEAST member Hyunseung. But when it came down to who would make the cut for BIGBANG, Hyunseung was ultimately dropped by YG and the group debuted with the now-iconic line-up of G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung, and Seungri.
