As we and the K-pop world are still recovering from the disbandment of the queens of Summer, SISTAR, some light has been shed on why the successful girl group decided to go their separate ways after 7 years together.

While there were discussions over a contract renewal, according to a new report, a Starship Entertainment representative revealed that SISTAR had a rule that the group will disband if at least one member wanted to leave. The source then stated that SISTAR's leader, Hyolyn, was the one who wanted to leave, explaining that she wanted to focus more on her growing solo career.

Due to the aforementioned rule and the strong relationship between all the members, everyone decided to respect Hyolyn's decision and to go their separate ways. As for what the other SISTAR members will be doing, Bora and Soyou will continue their careers as singers while Dasom will concentrate on her acting career.

Glad to know that SISTAR departed on good terms and the girls are still close to each other!
