Attack on Titan is getting a third season. Following the success of the second season, Production I.G. announced a third season is in the works, and it will be released sometime in 2018. This news comes as a surprise following a four-year-long wait for season two.

*Spoiler alert for the 'Attack on Titan' anime and manga*

Funimation released a teaser Trailer, showing moments from the manga expected to be animated. Manga readers will recognise moments from the Uprising and Return to Shiganshina arcs, suggesting season three may be a two-cour program or tightly paced.

You can check out season one and two on Animelab, and read out first impressions on the new season.
