According to Polygon Pictures director Hiroyuki Seshita, Netflix are making more original content in the Blame! and Knights of Sidonia universe.

Seshita attended the 2017 Annecy International Anime Film Festival for his upcoming Netflix-original Godzilla anime. He told fans that the studio have plans for a film sequel to Blame!, and Knights of Sidonia season three.

Knights of Sidonia is a CGI animated serial adaptation of Tsutomu Nihei’s science fiction manga series, exclusive to Netflix. The show follows a group of mankind living on a spaceship called Sidonia, after the Earth is destroyed thousands of years ago, forcing humanity to live in space.

Blame! is a 2017 anime film also only available on Netflix. It follows Killy, a loner who finds themselves leading a remnant of humanity through an abandoned dangerous city. Both productions were directed by Hiroyuki Seshita and produced by Polygon Pictures. Characters from Knights of Sidonia were seen watching a minute of Blame! in the second season, which released in 2015.
