Some suspicious social media activity has made some SHINee fans get a little excited...

Back in May, it was reported that SHINee were one of several SM Entertainment artists scheduled to make a comeback in the second half of the year.

Well, now thanks to some fans' detective work, it looks like the comeback could be sooner than we thought.

A Shawol on Twitter noticed that SHINee's Instagram username has just been changed from 'shinee.1of1' (a reference to their last Korean album) to plain old 'SHINee.' Furthermore, the username '@SHINee' has been snapped up on Twitter, with the account now set to private.

Could SM Entertainment be getting SHINee's social media accounts ready for an inevitable comeback? Let us know your theories!
