I've compiled a list of 10 of the best females idols, who can belt it out like no other!

1. Hyolyn (Former SISTAR)

Hyolyn was the former main vocalist for the group SISTAR. She’s known for being one of the most well-rounded idols, being extremely good at singing, dancing and performing live. She's known as Korea’s Beyonce because of her sexy and flamboyant style. Her vocal skills are extremely powerful. She’s sung on various OST’s including Master’s Sun, Frozen and My Love from the Star.

2. IU

IU started her music career at the age of 15 when she signed with Leon Entertainment in 2007. She found national stardom with her track "Good Day" where she hits three consecutive high notes at the end of the song. Her vocals are easily one of the best, and with her being able to sing various genres of music it’s no wonder she was dubbed Korea’s princess.

3. Taeyeon (Girls Generation)

Taeyeon is the leader of girl group Girls' Generation with good reason. She’s been regarded by music critics and fellow singers as one of the best vocalists of this generation. Her vocals are extremely clean with her being able to hit just about any note. She’s also found major success as a solo singer with her recent album My Voice selling over 200,000 copies earlier this year.

4. Ailee

Ailee has one of the most powerful voices in the K-pop industry. She has incredible control over her huge vocals to the point where she makes every note look easy. Ailee has performed on just about all of the Korean singing shows including Immortal Songs 2, King of the Masked Singer, Fantastic Duo ,and been a judge for Superstar K.

5. Park Bom (Former 2NE1)

Park Bom was the main vocalist for 2NE1. Her strong vocals capture the emotion in songs. She released solo singles while with 2NE1, "You and I" and "Don’t Cry," which both topped the Gaon Digital Chart. Park Bom has hinted that she’ll be returning as a singer soon and I can’t wait to see what she has in-store.

6. Wendy (Red Velvet)

Wendy grew up listening to, and singing, old-school ballads her parents would play, which is how she fell in love with music.  She is an extremely capable singer who is gaining more recognition, and who I believe, has the ability to go solo if she chooses to. Her future in the music industry is very bright.

7. Lee Hi

Lee Hi became famous after she was the runner-up on K-pop Star Season One. Her voice gives off a soulful vibe that is mature and unique especially for her young age. The emotion she expresses with her vocals makes her performances amazingly heartfelt.

8. Luna (f(x))

Luna is another amazing idol who can do it all. When she debuted with f(x) she was the lead dancer and main vocalist. She seemed destined to be a K-pop idol and with her recent solo debut, she’s been able to prove she can handle the stage on her own. She’s also been extremely active in musical theatre, participating in six shows with her latest being Rebecca.

9. Solar (MAMAMOO)

Solar is the leader and main vocalist of MAMAMOO. The group is usually in high-demand for concerts or events due to their amazing live-singing ability. Solar is the best vocalist of the group and is able to belt out high notes at will. MAMAMOO’s unique blend of jazz, soul and R&B show off her talent in various ways proving she can handle just about any song given to her.

Check out her cover of "I Will Give You All My Love" on King of Masked Singer:

10. Eunji (Apink)

Eunji has been recognised as one of the best female vocalists due to her sweet and powerful voice. When she debuted with Apink as their main vocalist she didn’t receive any prior training and only trained two months with the group before their first single. She has been singing for OST’s since 2012 and her collaborations almost always top the charts. She’s truly become a double threat with her acting abilities being extremely strong as well.
