The awards season has officially kicked off with the first ever Soribada Music Awards, which was held yesterday (September 20) at the Jamsil Student's Gymnasium and saw the best of K-pop over the past year be recognised.
There were several artists nominated in a number of big categories, but the big winners of the night were EXO, TWICE, BTS, WANNA ONE, and PENTAGON.
EXO won two big awards at the event, managing to fight off some tough competition to win the Daesang (grand prize) and the New Korean Wave Popularity Award.
TWICE also managed to win the event's second Daesang, the Digital Daesang.
While BTS weren't present, the boys managed to win the New Korean Wave Artists Award and they send a video message to all the fans as a sign of thanks.
WANNA ONE and PENTAGON split the honours for the New Korean Wave Rookie Award, both groups picking up the win!
As for the night's Bonsang awards (main awards), the 10 winners were GFRIEND, B.A.P, MAMAMOO, T-ara, BTOB, TWICE, Hwang Chi Yeol, MONSTA X, Red Velvet, VIXX, and EXO
