For those who are unaware, EXO's Suho and SHINee's Jonghyun were close friends having grown up together as trainees with SM Entertainment. After Jonghyun's death on December 18, the EXO leader attempted to carry on with his schedules but the passing of his friend weighed heavily on his mind and caused him to break down in tears.

During the December 20 showing of Suho's musical The Last Kiss, it is reported that the EXO leader managed to perform the show without problems right up until the end where he broke down in tears.

Reports (and fans in attendance) noted that Suho attempted to perform the ending scene in which suicide is featured, but the EXO leader couldn't finish the final performance and started crying. It is reported that Suho's costar then went over and gave him a hug as he cried.

Fans in attendance also noted that Sehun was also present for Suho's show and when the EXO leader started crying, Sehun applauded Suho and shouted his name in support.

Following Suho's show on December 20, fans expressed sympathy for the EXO leader and his fellow SM label mates for their loss of Jonghyun. Here are some of the comments made by fans:

  • "I don't personally know Jonghyun and I'm even really sad TT I can't imagine what his close peers are feeling right now"
  • "Laughing, acting, and dancing in such situation... It really is a tough job. Celebrities need counseling.."
  • "He must be feeling terrible inside... SM family who was close to Jonghyun need special care"
  • "They recently took pictures together at SM Halloween Party and all.. TT Suho must be having a really hard time..."
