T-ara are preparing for a possible court battle with their former agency MBK Entertainment over the rights to the name "T-ara."

The drama started earlier this month after MBK filed to trademark the name "T-ara" after the group left the agency in December following the expiration of their contracts.

The girls are now fighting back, with Naver reporting that they've filed a submission to the Korean Intellectual Property Office to have MBK's application rejected.

It doesn't look like T-ara will be backing down over the issue, with their attorney saying in a statement: "If the trademark is not rejected after screening and is approved, we will file another objection.
