Plastic surgery is a huge industry in Korea, and it feeds into the expectations that K-pop idols always present themselves as perfect and beautiful.
It's not surprising to know that there are idols who've had plastic surgery, but not all fo them openly discuss it. Here are the idols who've been open about undergoing cosmetic surgery.
1. Jung Chaeyeon (DIA/former I.O.I)
When asked about eyelid surgery on a talk show, she said: "It was my nose that I did. I gained double eyelids when I was in middle school".
2. Goo Hara (former KARA)
She said on a tv show: "I got them (my eyelids) slightly fixed. I didn't get plastic surgery on my nose, I just got a shot. Also I've had braces for my teeth".
3. Kim Heechul (Super Junior)
On MBC's Radio Star, Heechul said he'd had his eyelids done. Then on an SBS radio program he said: "My nose was broken before, so it was crooked... I got surgery to correct it".
4. Kwanghee (ZE:A)
Kwanghee has said he's had various surgeries ranging from his eyes, nose to his forehead. He says his mother recommended it.
5. Minzy (former 2NE1)
Minzy said that she'd had her nose done during a surgery to cure her rhinitis, while being at YG.
6. Miryo (Brown Eyed Girls)
She didn't discuss it immediately after, but has more recently talked about having double eyelid surgery and even appeared in a comical skit about it on SNL Korea.
Speaking on Happy Together 3 she said: "I did my nose and eyes. I did my eyes and nose three years ago. I didn't do it because I wanted to, though. I chose to do plastic surgery because of my agency's advice and to appear more photogenic".
8. Kyuhyun (Super Junior)
Kyuhyun said on Radio Star that both his parents had double eyelids and he did not, so he had the surgery.
