Playing video games is one of the most popular hobbies to have in Asian countries, with increasing technology pushing the boundaries of what gaming can do.

Here are idols that love playing video games!

1. Heechul (Super Junior)

Heechul is a big fan of PC games League of Legends and StarCraft, which are both very popular in South Korea. One time Heechul challenged former I.O.I. member Sohye at StarCraft on Korean tv show Game Show. Sohye only had half an hour to figure out how to play, which is nowhere near enough time to understand such a complex game. When the match started Heechul kept attacking Sohye looking for an easy win but then suddenly his Internet connection dropped out making Sohye the winner to the shock of everyone.

Check out Heechul’s League of Legends skills as he plays with Baekhyun (EXO) who is also a passionate gamer.

2. Hayoung (Apink)

Apink’s youngest member doesn’t really look like a gamer but in reality she’s obsessed with it. Fellow member Eunji revealed that Hayoung has purchased multiple keyboards to satisfy her gaming needs. Hayoung used to play at gaming centres but now she’s got her own set-up in the dorm where she spends most of her time playing online shooting games.

Watch Hayoung surprise a fan at a gaming cafe.

3. Hongbin (VIXX)

Hongbin has been playing video games ever since he was a little kid. These days he’s an incredible Overwatch player and has mastered the character Hanzo giving him the nickname ‘The Hanzo Master’.

Hongbin played Overwatch against MONSTA X’s Minhyuk, Kihyun and I.M on Jung Dae Man and was even able to beat the members in a two versus one match-up.

4. Jungkook (BTS)

Jungkook can usually be seen playing mobile games to pass the time while in waiting rooms. One of his favourites is Piano Tiles 2 which requires fast coordination skills in order to win. Fans may have noticed that Jungkook has a scar on his left cheek, which actually came from fighting with his older brother to play video games.

Watch Jungkook show off his Piano Tiles 2 talents.

5. Chanyeol (EXO)

Chanyeol loves the fighting game Tekken so much that he would play the game consistently at an arcade in Yeonsinnae Station. While he attempted to remain anonymous by wearing a hoodie over his head, people started to recognise Chanyeol by his large frame. Despite fans noticing him Chanyeol would play the game for hours switching characters and racking up win streaks.

Check out one of Chanyeol’s own posts of him playing Tekken:

6. LE (EXID)

When LE isn’t writing or composing EXID’s latest songs she likes to spend her days peacefully playing Diablo 3, one of the best-selling PC games ever.

Watch Hani sneak up on LE while she’s playing her favourite game.

7. Mina (TWICE)

Mina started to enjoy playing video games during her childhood in Japan and started off playing games such as Tamagotchi and is now an avid mobile game player where she can spend hours on end playing non-stop. Mina is the only gamer in TWICE and wishes that the other members would give it a try. She has even done solo live streams with fans where she plays games such as Elsaword and Sudden Attack, both of which TWICE have been ambassadors for.

8. Jung Joon Young

Jung Joon Young took his gaming hobby to the next level when he signed on as a new member of professional gaming team ‘Team Kongdoo’ in January 2018. He joined due to his skills in Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds, which is an extremely popular online shooting game.
