IZ*ONE, the project group comprising of winners from Produce 48, currently includes three Japanese members who are also part of J-pop idol group AKB48.
IZ*ONE's agency, Off The Road Entertainment, has now confirmed that the three girls - Sakura Miyawaki, Nako Yabuki and Hitomi Honda - will be taking a hiatus from AKB48 as they commit to promote as members of IZ*ONE.
The three girls will be performing with IZ*ONE for two years and six months, and will resume AKB48 activities in April 2021.
The Produce 48 winners are currently recording their debut album and rumour is they'll debut in October. The three Japanese members will participate in AKB48's 54th single "No Way Man", after which they will be dedicated to IZ*ONE's promotions only.
