10. The Smile Has Left Your Eyes
The most recent release that made it onto the list, this remake of a Japanese drama was packed with intrigue and tension, with Seo In Guk's mysterious character keeping us on edge all season long.
9. Miss Hammurabi
Go Ara won our hearts in this story about an unlikely partnership between an empathetic judge and a rookie with strong morals. Inspiring and heartwarming, it was a legal drama that was also relatable.
8. Something In The Rain
Romantics swooned for this older woman-younger man drama with a clandestine love story packed with chemistry. It also gave us a new fave leading man with Jung Hae In.
7. I'm Not A Robot
Android stories were popular this year, and this one about a rich agrophobic CEO who falls in love with his AI robot - who isn't actually a robot - was full of romance, laughs and angst of course.
6. A Korean Odyssey
A classic tale of fate, destiny and forces beyond our reckoning, this fantastical drama signalled Lee Seungi's return to the spotlight after military service, and made us all fall in love with him all over again.
5. Mr Sunshine
The most epic of the historical dramas of 2018, Lee Byung Hun and Kim Tae Ri were undeniable as two people from different backgrounds with a common goal during the political upheavals of the Joseon era.
4. Are You Human Too?
Seo Kang Joon really came into his own this year thanks to this K-drama, where he played both himself and the robot version of himself, both of whom are under threat, and in love with his bodyguard.
3. My ID is Gangnam Beauty
The perfect college drama, this light and fun story of a girl with plastic surgery learning to accept herself and change social stigmas was made all the better for the teased out romance with ASTRO's Cha Eunwoo.
2. 100 Days My Prince
EXO's D.O. made his leading man debut in this drama and the ratings proved that his charisma is loved globally. His performance as an amnesiac prince living as a peasant was made all the better thanks to his heartfelt romance with Nam Ji Hyun.
1. What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?
What happens when you combine two of K-drama's top stars? This delight! Park Seo Joon is the narcissistic CEO forced to reexamine his relationship with his self-sacrificing secretary Park Min Young when she abruptly resigns. But of course there's more to it, including childhood trauma, fateful meetings they can't recall and a dose of family drama. The support cast are equally cute, making this the perfect balance of romance, comedy and drama.
