Aghases will already know what day today is, but for those who want to take a stroll down memory lane, here's a fact to make you feel old: GOT7 debuted on Korean music show M Countdown on this day, five years ago!

The boy group performed their debut single "Girls Girls Girls" for the first time on the show, which aired on 16 January 2014. They released their first EP, Got It? four days later on 20 January, and it shot straight to No.1 on Billboard's World Albums chart.

GOT7 were JYP Entertainment's first boy group since 2PM's debut in 2008, and were described as a hip-hop group incorporating b-boying and martial arts into their live stages.

From the second "Girls Girls Girls" came out, GOT7 began climbing the charts internationally and they haven't stopped since! Now beloved as one of K-pop's most global groups, it's amazing to look back at where it all began.

Let's reminisce together with their first ever tv performance!
