J-pop girl group Hiragana Keyakizaka46 has announced a change of name, with the group to now be known as Hinatazaka46.

Keyakizaka46 and Hiragana Keyakizaka46 have always been separate groups, but they were often confused with one another due to their names having similar pronunciations, although they are spelled differently. The group has also changed its logo to a new theme colour.

Hinatazaka46 will release its first single under the new name on March 27, and before then they'll be performing concerts in Japan billed under the new name.
