K-pop comedy is coming to Australia!

Korean comedy group Celeb Five have been added to the 2019 Melbourne International Comedy Festival program. The group will be the closing act at 'Upfront', an all-female comedian event featuring entertainers from around the world, taking place on April 17. They'll also perform at free outdoor event 'Very Big Laugh Out' on April 19 and a Festival Club event too.

Celeb Five stated: "We are very honoured to have the opportunity to stand on a stage many dream of, and we will always do our best when we are on stage".

The group put a fun twist on K-pop, performing with 80s-era glitzy outfits and often barefoot, while employing the choreography and vocals of a classic K-pop-style group. Consisting of comedians, the group began as five members with some of South Korea's funniest women: Song Eun Yi, Shin Bong Sun, Ahn Young Mi, Kim Young Hee and Kim Shin Young. They've even been covered by K-pop groups like NCT U!
