BTS have hit a new high with the latest numbers for sales of Map of the Soul: Persona.
The group made Gaon Chart history on May 9 when it was confirmed that the album sold 3,229,032 copies during April, making it the highest album sales ever recorded in the Gaon monthly album chart.
Their single "Boy With Luv" also took No.1 on the monthly digital download chart, meaning they achieved a Gaon double crown.
The album sales mean that BTS' Map of the Soul: Persona is now the second highest-selling album in South Korean chart history. It's also only approximately 80,000 sales away from being at No.1, with the top spot currently held by Kim Gun Mo's 1995 album Wrongful Encounter.
Map of the Soul: Persona is also the first album in 22 years to enter the top five best-selling albums in the history of South Korea.
A huge achievement for the group in their home country!
