Every year, Japanese entertainment business magazine Nikkei Entertainment shares the results of their Talent Power Ranking list. 

The rankings are based off survey results on who the most popular artists in Japan are, based on several factors including public recognition and credibility. It's about how bankable artists are, as well as their popularity.

The 2019 rankings have been revealed for musical acts and female idols, and you can have a look at them below. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the top musical act is Arashi, while the top female idol is HKT48's Rino Sashihara.
