Kang Daniel has set a new record for solo artist record sales in South Korea!

The K-pop idol released his debut solo EP color on me on July 29, and less than a day later it had sold 342,218 copies. The EP took the No.1 spot on Hanteo's daily chart and also broke the one-day sales record for solo artists.

The EP had already broken a record before release, when it surpassed 450,000 pre-orders in one week, making it the most pre-ordered album for a male solo artist ever.

Kang Daniel is now considered the second highest-selling solo artist in first week of release. His title track, "What are you up to" has also surpassed 6.2 million views on YouTube. Check it out below.
