Starship Entertainment issued a statement confirming the news

Starship Entertainment has announced that MONSTA X member Wonho has parted ways with the group.

In a statement shared on Starship Entertainment's Twitter, the company stated that after long discussions with Wonho, they've agreed to amicably part ways.

Wonho will not attend any schedules starting from today and MONSTA X will continue as a six-member group for their forthcoming promotions.

Wonho also shared a handwritten letter to fans in which he apologised for "not being able to keep the promise that I would only provide good memories and for causing pain to fans". In the letter he also thanked his fellow members, and confirmed that he is leaving MONSTA X today.
