The singer will be coming to Australia later in the year

Mando-pop star Jay Chou has postponed his upcoming Sydney concert due to concerns over the coronavirus (Covid19).

The concert will now take place on the rescheduled date of Saturday 24 October 2020 at 8pm, at GIANTS Stadium.

In an announcement shared to Ticketek's website, the promoter wrote: 

"Due to concerns over the current situation of Covid 19 and associated travel bans, the Jay Chou Carnival Sydney Concert originally slated for 14 March 2020 has been postponed to 24 October 2020 at the Giants Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park.

Tickets which have been purchased through Ticketek will remain valid for the re-scheduled date (Dated 14 March tickets can still be used for the re-scheduled date). For those fans unable to attend the new dates, please contact Ticketek by 11:59pm, Friday 28 February.

We sincerely apologise for inconvenience caused. To fans who have asked that the show carries on at its original date, we ask for your patience and understanding.

We hope that the fight against the virus will end soon and we look forward to seeing all fans this October."

His eighth concert world tour, Jay Chou Carnival World Tour will be his first Australian concert to be performed at an outdoor stadium. The night is set to cover 20 years of his music in a carnival atmosphere.
