MONSTA X's Wonho has been cleared of all charges relating to alleged drug use in 2013.

On March 14, Starship Entertainment issued a statement confirming that the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's narcotics team had cleared Wonho of all charges relating to the allegations of marijuana use in 2013. The accusations were made in October 2019.

Starship Entertainment wrote in their statement that Wonho fully cooperated during the investigation that was carried out across the last five months. The case was closed on March 10.

The statement also said: "During the investigation, we minimised the media coverage and external exposure of Wonho as much as possible, and we have waited a long time as we did our best, such as appointing legal representation, to ensure that there were no unjust charges. We will give Wonho our full support so that he can continue down the path he desires in the future."

Wonho announced his departure from MONSTA X on October 31, 2019 and shortly after Starship Entertainment confirmed they had terminated his contract.
