It's just not Eurovision without a scandal. Honestly, it's a wonder we were able to whittle the list down to 40.

Following the unprecedented cancellation of the Eurovision Song Contest this year, SBS is excited to announce a week-long festival of Eurovision from 10-17 May, culminating in a brand new alternative Eurovision 2020 with SBS’s Eurovision 2020: Big Night In! and Eurovision: Europe Shine a Light from The Netherlands.

It's time to reflect on the wild and crazy moments of Eurovisions past. From naked participants to Ukrainian streakers, and songs that started a revolution, you won't want to miss this reflection on the controversial, the curious and downright outrageous historic moments that have made Eurovision so, well, Eurovision.

Spend your Saturday night with Myf Warhurst and Joel Creasey as they spend two hours devoted to Eurovision's craziest Top 40 Controversies. The special event will feature live performances from Isaiah, Casey Donovan and of course, Australia’s 2018 Eurovision artist Jessica Mauboy.

Peppered with funny insights from UK comic Sarah Callahan, Australian wit Dave O’Neil, Cabaret stars Paul Capsis and Meow Meow, comedians Bridie Connell, Becky Lucas, Jordan Raskopoulos, Dilruk Jayhasina, Tessa Waters, and Eurovision expert Professor Alison Lewis.

Eurovision Top 40 Controversies is on SBS Saturday May 16 at 10:30PM. Available to catch up at SBS On Demand after broadcast.
