As a new cohort of Australians become citizens at ceremonies around the country this January 26, SBS is releasing multilingual podcast Australia Explained in five new languages.

Tailored for new and recent migrants, Australia Explained helps demystify the quirky habits that embody the Aussie way of life.

Originally created by SBS Arabic24, the series has also been produced in many other languages including Mandarin, Punjabi, Filipino, Persian, Russian, Thai, Turkish and Kurdish.

There are six episodes in the series, taking a light-hearted look at Aussie slang, beach culture, sport, food and more.
