Raced on July 8 while the pros tackle stage 2, Etape du Tour 2018 will cover a total elevation of 4,000 metres over 169km from Annecy to Le Grand Bornand.
Like the pros are set to do on stage 10, punters will tackle the seven kilometre climb to the Plateau des Glieres at an average gradient of 11 per cent, including the same 2km stretch of dirt road to the plateau.
If that's not enough, participants will also battle Col de Romme and the Col de la Colombiere before the run down into Le Grand-Bornand.

Entries open from 23 October at the Etape du Tour 2018 website and will set you back €109 until 17th December 2017 and €139 after this date.
