There are 84 countries with broadcast agreements covering A-League matches as well as a global streaming deal with www.livesport.tv that means all 135 regular season matches and six Hyundai A-League 2016 Finals Series can be watched online.

Under FFA’s distribution arrangements with World Sports Group (WSG), full live match broadcasts are available in the USA, China, Italy, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Canada, the Caribbean, Hong Kong, Singapore and Myanmar. Other major markets across Asia and Africa have delayed coverage and extensive highlights packages.

“Football is the game played in the global village and it’s great that the A-League is on the menu across the world,” FFA CEO David Gallop said.

“The technical standard and entertainment value on show will boost the international credibility of our competition, while building a steady stream of commercial revenues.

“The continued influx of top-class foreign players and the growing number of current Socceroos in the A-League will add to the growth profile.”

In a significant boost for expatriate Australians and those travelling overseas, fans can watch every game live on hand-held devices by subscribing to www.aleague.livesport.tv

“The way fans are consuming live sport and sports news is changing at a rapid pace, so we are extremely pleased to be able to offer football fans all over the world this opportunity to watch all matches through the livesport.tv platform.”

The A-League is LIVE and FREE on SBS 2 every Friday night at 7.30pm (AEDT), and streamed live online.
