A timeline of how a dramatic deadline day unfolded

Thursday in England (Friday morning AEST) marked the final day of the 2017 summer transfer window. Here is a timeline of how all the drama unfolded across Europe.

1200: Liverpool announced the signing of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal for £35million ($57M). The England international signed a five-year contract following a medical at St George's Park.
1226: Ivory Coast right-back Serge Aurier signs for Tottenham from Paris St Germain on a five-year contract for a £23m ($37M) fee.
1329: Watford announced the signing of Greece goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis on a season-long loan from Serie A's Udinese.

1401: Swansea pulled off a coup as Portugal midfielder Renato Sanches joined on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich.
1445: Nahki Wells joined Burnley for an undisclosed fee deal from Huddersfield, signing a three-year deal.
1500: Liverpool striker Divock Origi joined Bundesliga side Wolfsburg on a season-long loan.
1540: Stoke midfielder Giannelli Imbula joined Toulouse on loan for the rest of the season.
1630: Jadon Sancho, the 17-year-old England youth international, joined Borussia Dortmund from Manchester City.
1748: Teenage central defender Kyle Jameson moved to West Brom from Chelsea on a one-year contract.

1820: Watford completed the signing of Dutch left-back Marvin Zeegelaar from Sporting Lisbon on a four-year contract.

1900: Arsenal striker Lucas Perez rejoined Spanish side Deportivo de La Coruna, a year after leaving, on a season-long loan.

1918: Bojan Krkic followed Imbula through the exit at Stoke after agreeing a season's loan to Alaves.
1930: Brighton signed defender Ezequiel Schelotto from Sporting Lisbon for an undisclosed fee.

1932: Another signing for Watford, and another from Udinese, after defender Molla Wague joined on loan.

1945: Nampalys Mendy left Leicester for Nice on a season-long loan after just four Premier League appearances.

2012: Everton made their ninth summer signing, landing teenage forward Nikola Vlasic from Hajduk Split on a five-year contract.

2015: Manchester City defender Jason Denayer joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal.

2131: Arsenal striker Joel Campbell rejoined LaLiga side Real Betis on loan for the season.
2154: Young Everton defender Callum Connolly sealed a season-long loan switch to Ipswich.

2248: Leicester signed Austria centre-back Aleksandar Dragovic on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.

2250: Experienced Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul moved to Brighton on loan for the rest of the season.
2300: Defender Davide Zappacosta signed for Chelsea from Torino, the Italian club announced.

2318: Tottenham announced the signing of Spanish striker Fernando Llorente from Swansea on a two-year contract.
2319: Moments later Swansea unveiled Llorente's replacement, their former striker Wilfried Bony from Manchester City.
2346: Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori completed his loan switch to Championship Hull.

0133: Chelsea announce signing of Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwater on a five-year contract.
0201: Mamadou Sakho completes £26million transfer from Liverpool to Crystal Palace.
