Arzani on target for Celtic Reserves

On-loan Celtic winger Daniel Arzani found the back of the net in the reserve side's 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough on Wednesday (AEDT).

The Hoops travelled to England for a behind-closed-doors friendly with the Championship club and soon found themselves in front courtesy of Arzani's opener.

Boro grew into the game following the Australian's effort and soon restored parity from the penalty spot.

While the result matters little to either side's seasons, Arzani will hope his performance caught the eye of manager Neil Lennon.

Arzani has only played one match for the first-team this season after struggling with a serious knee injury suffered against Dundee in November 2018.

The 21-year-old made his long-awaited return during a 2-1 Scottish Cup victory over Partick Thistle in January and will look to cement himself in the squad as the 2019-20 campaign continues.
