And two days later will take on the three-time A-League champions - who will face Serie A champions Juventus on 23 July to kick off the week-long football bonanza.
The fixture against Atletico follows on from the Victory taking their January clash with the Central Coast Mariners to Geelong, which attracted more than 14,000 fans.
Melbourne Victory CEO Ian Robson said the club was thrilled play the game against Atletico in Geelong with The Hon John Eren MP, Minister for Tourism and Major Events; Sport and Veterans supporting the view.
"The people of Geelong have been magnificent in their support of Victory, and we look forward to that continuing,” Robson said.
“Atletico de Madrid is one of world football’s most powerful clubs. It was only weeks ago Atlético was battling out the UEFA Champions League final in Milan, and now Geelong beckons,” Eren said.
“These aren’t just great spectacles, they’re a big boost to the local economy and a rare chance to see the world’s very best in our own backyard."
