Aussie trick-shot teen goes viral thanks to Real Madrid

Toowoomba teen Jed Hockin has already earned praise across Australia for his amazing trick-shot videos but now he's caught the eye of non-other than Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The 18-year-old, who has over 38,000 Instagram followers, is now a global sensation after Real Madrid shared one of his trick-shot videos on their social media sites.

Thanks to the share the video has now had close to seven million views worldwide across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Hockin explained he wore a Real Madrid jersey in the video in the hope the La Liga club might notice.

“I can’t possibly explain how I feel about it,” Hockin told theThe Toowoomba Chronicle.

“I had a plan to shoot a video in my Real Madrid shirt and send it to them in the hope they’d post it.

“When they posted it I was blown away. I’m just doing something I love and it’s hard to believe and comprehend that so many people are watching and enjoying it.

“It goes to show that ­nothing is impossible if you have passion.”
