Matched up against their second division west competition, AGF and Amini didn't have to travel far to meet up with their Aarhus rivals.

A bright start from the smaller team tested AGF early but their quality eventually told, with Amini scoring with a strong header just before half-time.

After halftime Magnus Kaastrup dribbled past a number of opponents and knocked the ball into the feet of the Australian midfielder, who doubled his goal-scoring tally with a curling shot that banked in off the post in the 64th minute.

Amini turned provider for Kaastrup for the next goal and AGF eventually strolled to a 5-1 win.

Trent Sainsbury scored his maiden goal for PSV Eindhoven as they beat Excelsior Maassluis 4-0 away from home in the Dutch Cup.

Sainsbury netted from a set piece in the 44th minute to double his side's early lead.

"First of all, nice to get a win," Sainsbury said.

"A clean sheet for the team - for a defender like me - it's great. And ninety minutes under the belt, it's what I need at the moment."

“(The goal) is a nice little cherry on top.

“It’s my first 90 minutes since the World Cup … and to get the rhythm and fitness.”

The match was also significant for Aziz Behich, who made his debut for PSV and played 90 minutes, receiving a yellow card in the 34th minute.

Elsewhere in the Dutch cup competition, Denis Genreau played 29 minutes off the bench in PEC Zwolle’s 1-0 win over Staphorst.

Tameka Butt scored the only goal for Klepp in their 1-0 win in the Norwegian ToppSerien over Trondheims-Om.

The goal is her seventh of the season in just 14 appearances.

Milos Degenek played 90 minutes for Red Star Belgrade in a 3-0 win over Napredak, with the Serbian champions now having not lost a match since March.

Tom Rogic saw 15 minutes off the bench for Celtic in a 1-0 Cup win over St. Johnstone.

Also in action in Scotland was Oliver Bouzanic, who came off the bench late on in Hearts 4-2 Cup win over Motherwell.

Jimmy Jeggo earned his first Austria Vienna start in the cup against former club Sturm Graz.

Jeggo received 90 minutes of game time in a 2-0 win.

Matt Jurman was a starter for Al Ittihad against Al Wahda, with the defender receiving a yellow card in the 2-2 draw.

Aleksandar Jovanovic played the full match in Jeju United's 3-2 loss to Ulsan in the K-League while James Donachie also saw 90 minutes in the hometown derby between Jeonnam Motors and Jeonnam Dragons.

Adam Federici conceded three goals in Stoke City's 3-2 defeat away to Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup.
