Following a scoreless first half, Floro came bursting out of the blocks and soon took a 2-0 lead through Otar Javashvili and Lorent Callaku.

And while Tommy Hoiland gave the away side hopes of a comeback, Jeggo's strike proved the fatal blow.

The second-tier club are now four points from safety.

Meanwhile, recalled Socceroos left-back Alex Gersbach was unable to prevent Rosenborg from defeat in the nation's top tier.

The defending Eliteserien champions fell 1-0 away to Molde in a defeat that could see their league lead reduced to just one point with six games to play.

Ex-Melbourne City youngster Denis Genreau played 64 minutes in PEC Zwolle's 2-2 draw with AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie.

Zwolle coach John van't Schip replaced Genreau with eventual goalscorer Zian Flemming, while goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis was an unused substitute.

Jeggo's older brother James also tasted success with Austria Wien in the Austrian Bundesliga, seeing off Hartberg 1-0.

The former Adelaide United midfielder played the full match, as did fringe Socceroo James Holland, who featured in LASK's 0-0 draw with Sturm Graz.

Tomi Juric and FC Luzern suffered their third successive Swiss Super League defeat on Monday, losing out 3-1 at home to Sion.

Juric came off the bench with just under 20 minutes to go but was unable to impact proceedings.

Fran Karacic played the full 90 minutes in NK Lokomotiva's 3-0 win over Gorica in the Prva HNL.

The 22-year-old right-back earned his second consecutive league clean sheet in defence and will hope for a repeat performance against Inter Zapresic next time out.

In Asia, Connor Chapman and Kwabena Appiah-Kubi were each in K League 1 action for Pohang and Incheon respectively.

Chapman featured in defence for the Steelers en route to a 2-1 win over Daegu, while Appiah-Kubi's United had to settle for a 2-2 draw at home to Gyeongnam FC.

Erik Paartalu helped Bengaluru to a 1-0 victory over Chennaiyin FC in the Indian Super League.

Last season's runners-up, fresh from their curtain-raising win, will next face Tim Cahill's Jamshedpur FC.
