Matuidi, a 2018 FIFA World Cup winner with France, terminated his contract with Italian giants Juve by mutual consent on Thursday.
Juve are ringing the changes after a season, despite a narrow Serie A title win, characterised by disjointed play and inability to implement Maurizio Sarri's Sarrismo style, which resulted in the ex-Napoli boss' sacking.
The Old Lady also had perhaps too many world-class central midfielders vying for just three starting spots - Matuidi battling with Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira, Aaron Ramsey, Adrien Rabiot and Rodrigo Bentancur for game time.
After three successful seasons in Turin, during which he was arguably Juve's most underrated player, he has joined Beckham's new MLS club Inter Miami.
Beckham, who played alongside Matuidi in Paris Saint-Germain's midfield and is one of Miami's five owners, was thrilled to secure his signature.
