Foxtel will launch three HD beIN SPORTS channels (beIN SPORTS 1, 2 and 3) on 15 May, ahead of the UEFA Europa League Final on 19 May and the UEFA Champions League Final on 29 May.

Foxtel will be hoping the new partnership will appease customers who were unhappy at its loss of the English Premier League to Optus.

“The addition of these new dedicated sports channels from our partners at beIN SPORTS is a huge win for sports fans who subscribe to Foxtel, greatly increasing the value of a subscription." Outgoing Foxtel chief executive Richard Freudenstein said.

Fox Sports claims that from 15 May beIN will be included as part of the Foxtel sports package, meaning the three new channels will be available to existing Foxtel sports subscribers at no additional charge.
