Bertrand laughs off hilariously bad throw-in as time-wasting tactic

Southampton's Ryan Bertrand managed to make light of his shocking attempt at a throw in late in injury time during the Saints' 1-1 draw with Bournemouth in the Premier League.

Bertrand, who had produced a man of the match performance up until the throw-in, seemed to see the funny side of the matter as he was ridiculed by the Bournemouth fans. 

After the ball slipped out of his hands and didn't even manage to get into the field of play, Bertrand pointed to his wrist as to indicate time-wasting and then winked at the nearby fans. 

The 28-year-old's successful second attempt was greeted with ironic cheers form the home fans who clearly enjoyed the moment. 

The match finished 1-1, moving Bournemouth up one spot to 14th and leaving Southampton in 11th.
