With Richie Porte just one spot away from the Paris podium and Caleb Ewan a strong chance for another sprint victory on the Champs-Élysées, book a spot on the edge of your seats because here's what's in store during the final four stages of the 2020 Tour de France.

Thursday 17 September - Stage 18: Méribel to La Roche-Sur-Foron - 167km

Could we see a Richie Porte attack?

The final day in the Alps is another toughie. Two category 1 bumps, one hors category climb and 4,000m of vertical gain, it's the last chance for the yellow jersey contenders to try something in the mountains before the arduous individual time trial on Saturday.

Expect bonus seconds to fuel attacks on the final climb before the final uncategorised dig and the descent into La Roche-sur-Foron as someone like Miguel Ángel López, Tadej Pogačar or Australian Richie Porte journey forth in search of the time they need to rocket up the standings.

Friday 18 September - Stage 19: Bourg-en-Bresse to Champagnole - 166km

Finally, a fiery, gripping fight for the green jersey

With 50 points on offer at the finish and another 20 at the intermediate sprint, this is Peter Sagan's chance to move back into contention for his eighth green jersey coronation in Paris.

Irishman Sam Bennett currently leads Sagan by 47 points. It is ON!

Whatever happens on this day, it's likely the green jersey will be decided on the Champs-Élysées.

Saturday 19 September - Stage 20: Lure to La Planche des Belles Filles - 36km individual time trial

Richie's race against time

All that stands between Tasmanian Richie Porte and a podium in Paris is Miguel Ángel López, one minute and 39 seconds and a nine kilometre drag up the category 1 La Planche des Belles Filles to finish Stage 20's race against the clock.

Porte could claw back significant time over López on the flats, and in the fight for the yellow jersey, Pogačar will give Primož Roglič a run for his money to the very end.

Anything could, and often does, happen - it's the Tour de France!

Sunday 20 September - Stage 21: Mantes-La-Jolie to Paris (Champs-Élysées)

This is no procession

Usually this stage is about riders taking photos and quaffing champagne. That will still happen, but the green jersey is still in play.

Bennett and Sagan will fight to the end as a total of 70 points are up for grabs.

Oh and Caleb Ewan is a strong chance for another victory on the Champs-Élysées.
