It has been reported that Brattan has signed a four year deal at the English Premier League side, which finished second last season.

Brattan will be loaned to English Championship side Bolton Wanderers, who are bottom of the table with nine points after 13 games, and only one win.
Nevertheless it represents a step up from the A-League, in which Brattan has been one of the stand outs in recent seasons.

It has been speculated for months that Brattan would sign for City, pending his release from Brisbane Roar.
Brattan, who was born in England, spent five years with Roar, winning three A-League championships.

Now it seems his dream move has come to fruition, and the exposure to higher level European football on a regular basis will surely see him edge closer to receiving his first Socceroos cap.
