Hemed, who scored the only goal in the Seagulls 1-0 win against Newcastle on Monday (AEST), appeared to stamp on Yedlin in the dying stages of the clash.
He was charged after the match by the Football Association with 'violent conduct not seen by the match officials but caught on video'.
Despite the Israeli striker contesting the charge, an Independent Regulatory commission on Wedensday ruled against him.

Brighton will be without Hemed for their next three league matches including the clash against Arsenal this weekend and games against Everton on October 15 and West Ham on October 21.
Brighton posted a short statement on the club's official website confirming the ruling and suspension, adding there would be "no further comment at this stage".
